Heidi has been a nurse for over 15 years. She has worked as an ICU, cardiac, palliative care and hospice nurse, and as an adjunct professor at Austin Community College in the Allied Health Sciences department.  Heidi’s experiences in palliative care and her interest and love for the older adult population led her to obtain a Masters in Nursing with a specialty as an Adult Geriatric Nurse Practitioner. She is currently employed by Austin Geriatric Specialists and works as the palliative care nurse practitioner at Seton Medical Center Hays.  She also sees patients in their own homes and skilled nursing facilities. She is passionate about providing holistic, compassionate, and expert medical care and support to those with chronic disease, as well as serious or terminal illness.
