A group of music lovers in Portland, Oregon have come together to establish the first Swan Songs Local Affiliate – Swan Songs Portland, OR. Efforts are currently underway to create the infrastructure, engage in training with Swan Songs in Austin, host outreach events in the Portland community and raise the necessary funds to begin offering musical last wishes™ concerts later in 2024.
Leading the project are Susan Kolliopoulos, a hospice social worker and founding board member of Swan Songs who moved from Austin to Portland in 2016, and Jim Friscia, a community organizer, concert producer, and longtime friend and promoter of Portland’s music community and musicians.
