Thank you for your interest in Swan Songs.

Our musicians are the heart and soul of our mission.

The concept for Swan Songs was sparked by the experience of our founder & CEO, Christine Albert, an Austin, Texas musician. Supporting the music community is an integral part of our mission. Musicians are compensated $150 for the 30-40 minute unplugged concert.

Swan Songs values the professional musicians with whom we work who have the depth of experience to perform in what can often be an emotionally charged environment. The requests are personalized, so Swan Songs musicians are usually playing their specific style of music or genre specialty. Think western swing fiddle and classical violin. Swan Songs probably wouldn’t call the same musician for both of those requests!

We are always interested in identifying musicians who might be comfortable performing in this type of environment. We continually reach out to new musicians who have been identified through targeted outreach efforts in specific genres, based on the requests received.

It starts with a conversation, and we might ask you to send a video or two or let us know where you are playing in the area. We are interested in building a relationship and determining if it is a good fit, learning about the type of music you can play, and what your true “wheelhouse” is.

This work isn’t for everyone. Director of Programs, Dorothy Reno, can talk through some emotional implications that you might want to consider before pursuing it. For more information, contact Dorothy at:
