“Let Your Love Flow” at 2016 Swan Songs Serenade with The Bellamy Brothers
6th Annual Event is October 20th at Riverbend Centre for the Arts in Austin, TX

The 2016 Swan Songs Serenade takes place on Thursday, October 20th from 6pm to 10pm at Riverbend Centre for the Arts in Austin, TX. Featuring The Bellamy Brothers as the musical performers, this marks the sixth year for the annual Swan Songs event and fundraiser.

“We so appreciate The Bellamy Brothers taking time to be part of our 2016 Swan Songs Serenade during their very busy 40th anniversary year, and all our sponsors who make this event possible through their incredible generosity,” said Christine Albert, founder and CEO of Swan Songs. “The Serenade is a very special evening where we come together to celebrate and honor our cherished recipients and supporters of the Swan Songs mission to fulfill musical last wishes for the terminally ill.”

The Bellamy Brothers, with 40 years of musical success, are well-known for their 1976 international hit “Let Your Love Flow,” an inspirational theme for Swan Songs. Honorary chairs, Craig and Felicia Hester, and event chairs, Cindy Lind and Craig Calvert, will host the 2016 Swan Songs Serenade. Corporate sponsors include Tito’s Vodka, Luther King Capital Management, Sterling Events, Sames Bastrop, 3G Partners, Green Mesquite and Strait Music.

An inaugural “Remember and Reflect Remembrance Wall” will be on display this year, commemorating loved ones still living and those that have passed, as well as an original work of art symbolizing this new annual tradition. “Swan at Sunset,” a beautiful image by renowned Austin photographer Carrell Grigsby, will be featured and auctioned.

Founded in 2005, Swan Songs has brought together musicians and hundreds of terminally ill individuals and their caretakers and families by organizing private concerts. At the request of the recipient, a favorite style of music or musician is brought directly to their home or facility. There is no cost to the recipient, their family or the facility for a concert. This is made possible through public and private donations to Swan Songs, with its biggest annual fundraiser being the Swan Songs Serenade.

Along with The Bellamy Brothers concert, the 2016 event includes a VIP reception for sponsors, a silent and live auction, cocktails and a seated dinner. Information on becoming a sponsor, donating to the auction and purchasing tickets to attend can be found at swansongs.org/events/2016-swan-songs-serenade-with-the-bellamy-brothers.
